Using red light therapy for eyes
Can this small device improve visual function?
Inspired by proven research into safe non invasive techniques to improve energy levels in eyesight. Every aspect of the Eyecharger has been designed for a specific purpose.
Scientific research shows how a three minute burst of red light can re-energize your eye cells to more youthful levels.
Used once a week on each eye, significant improvements have been shown in laboratory testing.
Benefit your Eyes
Increase colour contrast sensivity
As we age, our eyes undergo numerous changes that can impact our ability to see clearly. One such change is a reduced ability to distinguish between different colours. Colour contrast refers to the difference between the colours of an object and its background. For individuals with visual impairments, increasing the colour contrast can make it easier to distinguish objects from their surroundings. This helps to create a visual boundary, making it easier for the eyes to zero in on specific objects.
Improve dark adaptation time
As we grow older, our eyes become more susceptible to the impact of changes in light conditions in our surroundings. Bright light or glare can cause discomfort and even temporary blindness. On the other hand, dimly lit areas can pose challenges to our visual acuity and make it difficult to perceive objects accurately. This can be especially troublesome when trying to navigate unfamiliar places or engage in activities that demand precise vision, such as driving or reading.
Safe and easy to use
Light therapy is a tried-and-true method that has been deployed with great success for years on end. One of its biggest advantages is its absolute safety – it’s totally harmless and presents zero risks or side effects when administered correctly. Light therapy is a proven form of non-invasive treatment that involves exposure to a specific type of light. This type of light possesses the necessary energy to stimulate certain bodily functions and help activate mechanisms that promote recovery, rejuvenation, and healing.
Laboratory tested
The product, which has been created with the utmost care and precision to ensure the best possible results, has undergone rigorous testing in an Ophthalmology laboratory. The testing process involved the participation of human subjects who were carefully selected and monitored to ensure the highest standards of safety and accuracy were adhered to throughout. The results of the testing have demonstrated beyond doubt that the output of our product is as effective as other well-researched outcomes in the field.
Science and research
Professor of Neuroscience (Institute of Ophthalmology UCL London), Dr. Glen Jeffery is a prominent researcher in vision science. His lab uses red light therapy to improve visual function. The therapy can benefit youth and the elderly. This research has important implications for diagnosing and treating visual impairments and offers practical solutions for real-world use. Dr. Jeffery’s work deepens our understanding of vision biology and improves visual function. https://profiles.ucl.ac.uk/7465-glen
Product design
Custom optic and cone
Designed to deliver a correct, comfortable, specific wavelength dose to the eye. The cone is designed to cover the eye, giving light to the whole eye including cells used for peripheral vision. The anodised silver finish reflects all light towards the eye. The custom diffuser prevents any bright spots, making it comfortable to use, even if the eye is kept open.
Battery operated
Low energy use, powered by a single AA battery. Can be alkaline or rechargeable. The power used is only 3 Watts. The battery should be replaced or recharged when the light becomes dimmer. The battery can be checked by using a simple battery tester (usually available from a hardware store).
Medical grade LED
